Need more capacity? Do you rent it with consultants or do you buy staff? Here's a framework to guide the choice.
I proposed this as a concept for a 90-minute breakout session at the 2013 conference of the Communications Network. It didn't rise to the top of the crowd-sourced voting process. But, the organizers liked it enough to ask me to take a stab at the big ideas in 90 seconds.
I filmed this at my office with my smart phone, in front of our IdeaPaint walls, running through each phrase a half dozen times, then putting it all together with Windows Movie Maker - in the end also splicing separate cuts into shorter pieces, even when I didn't trip over my lines. That way, I could link phrases from different takes, and repeat a few for emphasis, because I found that, even 90 seconds starts to feel long and dull with a talking head just talking (even when that talking head is me).
